Trailer Tracking

Truckload carrier companies invest a lot of money into tractor-trailers. The average trailer costs around $30,000. This means that companies with 100 trailers have an investment of around $3,000,000. Yet, many trucking companies do not have an effective way to keep track of this property.

Monitoring Tractor Trailers

Once a trailer leaves the yard, the trucking company has very little control over it. The more trailers a company owns, the more difficult it becomes to track their whereabouts. It’s not uncommon to find that trailers are missing or not accounted for. When this occurs, it significantly affects the company’s bottom line. It also makes it impossible to increase capacity without acquiring more trailers.

Most trucking companies are still using whiteboards to track their trailers. This method is inefficient and leaves a lot of room for error. The alternative method uses GPS to track trailers. While this can help locate specific trailers, it is not an ideal method of tracking. It’s crucial that truckload carrier companies are able to locate and monitor their trailers quickly and easily at all times.

IoT Enabled Trailer Tracking

IoT enabled trailer tracking helps increase accountability. This allows trucking company owners to know exactly where their fleet is at any given time. They know immediately if a trailer requires maintenance and they receive real-time alerts whenever someone enters or leaves the trailer.

Preventing Theft of Tractor Trailers

Theft and vandalism of tractor-trailers happens at an alarming rate. Sometimes the entire trailer is stolen. Other times, only the content inside goes missing. Whatever the case, this type of theft adds up to millions of dollars in loss for the affected trucking company.

While truck drivers can prevent certain types of theft, they cannot stop it from occurring altogether. Drivers need to sleep, and most theft occurs at night, over the weekend and on holidays.

Our unique trailer tracking IoT solution helps trucking companies identify and prevent theft. When property is stolen, our system provides the evidence necessary to retrieve property and prosecute thieves.

IoT Tracking Solution

Our IoT solution is unlike any other tracking system available today. Our solution increases efficiency, protects valuable assets, reduces theft, improves driver safety and increases accountability. Our system’s features are specially designed to add value to existing property. We integrate with Microsoft Dynamics ERP & CRM. No other company can offer this service. Installation of our system is quick and easy.

Our solution provides trucking company managers with real-time alerts of potential problems. This allows them to take a proactive approach towards maintenance, theft and other issues.

Our system runs entirely on solar power. It stays charged for weeks and can be recharged as many times as necessary. The solar panels we provide are thin and attach easily to the tops of trucks. They are able to withstand extreme forces caused by wind and normal driving conditions.
