RFID labels encoded with specific information about each product are printed using an RFID printer. The labels are small and are applied in the same way as a standard sticker. Once applied, they are not noticeable and are not easily removed. These labels are added to every item immediately after it is received by the facility.
RFID readers are discreetly installed at key points throughout the facility to automatically track the movement of tagged items. These readers are installed in either the floor or the ceiling and track tagged items within a three to six-foot radius. The readers continuously collect and transmit information about multiple assets. This information is displayed on Mint Controls’ Productivity Suite Software.
This process reduces loss and saves a considerable amount of time and effort over traditional barcoding systems. Most facilities experience a full return on investment in as little as two years.
