Jason Mindte
CEO

Jason Mindte has extensive experience working with technology as a Microsoft .Net programmer and SQL server expert. In the year 2000, Jason Mindte founded Data Resolution, a successful cloud service provider and began offering hosting services before much of the world even understood what cloud hosting was. Microsoft awarded Data Resolution #1 ERP Cloud Service Provider in the United States in both 2012 and 2013).

Interested in the possibilities of advanced technologies, Jason founded Mint Controls and began offering IOT services to industrial and government agencies. Through Jason’s leadership and profound understanding of IOT technologies, the company worked with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to design, build, and maintain the Port Runner Suppression System (PRSS) at several popular Land Port of Entry (LPOE) locations.

More recently, Jason’s experience includes working with the Marriott to provide comprehensive technology solutions used to simplify tracking, increase staff accountability, and prevent loss. A Certified Microsoft Partner, Mint Controls recently expanded its Partner Network to include industry experts such as Qualcomm, AT&T, and KORE Wireless.

Tim Hughes
Director of R&D & Engineering

A former Senior Developer at Aztec Systems, Advanced Business Systems, and Western Computer, Tim’s strengths include electrical and mechanical engineering of IOT devices for use in modern industrial settings.

At Mint Controls, Tim ‘s responsibilities have included research and development of systems and controls for managing security and operations at several popular Ports of Entry, the creation of control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) (Siemens, Omron, Unitronics) and embedded computers (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, PC-104). Tim was responsible for overall systems designs and implementations and the conversion from discrete wiring to Ethernet wherever possible.

Today, Tim focuses on the creation and implementation of IOT in modern industrial settings using a wide variety of sensors. He has experience with Azure and stand-alone back-ends used for interacting with IOT devices, integration of IOT devices into Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and the creation of advanced NAV customizations including Google and Bing Maps, Driver Route Optimization, GPS and Photo overlays for delivery confirmations.

Tim’s specialties include Dynamics NAV, DotNetNuke, Web-Forms and Win-Forms Development, Web-Services and Windows-Services development, SQL Server, C#, C++

Carol Scheafer
Chief Strategy Officer
Carol is a former supervisor at one of America’s leading retail chains and former content manager for an East Coast-based digital marketing firm. An experienced leader, Carol brings a high level of professionalism and efficiency to the Mint Controls’ team. Carol started at Mint Controls in 2016 as Content Manager. She was promoted to Director of Operations in 2019. Carol’s responsibilities include working with superiors to make decisions regarding operational activities, planning and monitoring of daily activities to ensure smooth progress, supervising staff from different departments and providing constructive feedback, evaluating business procedure efficiencies in accordance with organizational objectives, revising policies and promoting their implementation, overseeing customer support processes, and managing relationships with external partners and vendors.

Matt Scheafer
Marketing and Design
With over 20 years experience in professional website and print design and marketing, Matt is an accomplished marketing professional with a strong history of integrated campaigns that generate results and drive business leads. Matt’s experience includes working for a leading futures and options brokerage and running a successful marketing business in Orange County, California. His accomplishments include working with numerous non-profit and volunteer organizations to provide marketing and design services to excel their missions and increase their visibility.

Brian Blut
Lead PLC Programmer, Electrical Engineer and Servo Expert
Brian’s experience includes electrical engineering with an emphasis on system level design and integration. His specialties include Servo System optimization, automation electrical design, PCB design, motion control, and system level electrical design. Brian’s past experience includes Senior Control Systems Engineer at Frontier Water Systems and Industrial Controls Engineer at Kaizen Motion Group. His responsibilities at Mint Controls have included support and design activities of industrial controls, troubleshooting and repair on various automated gates, control arms, and traffic lane control on-site at various Southern California Land Ports of Entry.

Jason Emery
Certified Network Engineer
Jason has a diverse background in network architecture. His responsibilities include balancing network design goals to ensure optimal manageability, scalability, flexibility, redundancy, and simplicity. Jason’s specialties include network service design and scaling including DNS, Web Services, and SSL. He has experience providing data center design, capacity planning, and disaster recovery, and cloud services integration.
