Mint Controls’ Waste Collection Vehicle solution uses sensors to monitor waste and alert drivers when waste is about to overflow. This allows haulers to address the problem long before litter spills. The system collects and transmits information regularly regarding fill level, weight of bins, and time and location of pickups. This reduces liability and ensures streets remain free from litter.
How it Works
Mint Controls installs Ultrasonic Sensors on the lift and near the container. These sensors monitor fill level, distance, position, and presence without hindrance from smoke, dust, light, or color.
When the waste collection process begins at the end of the driveway, Mint Controls’ Ultrasonic Sensors on the lift detect the size and weight of each trash bin. Sensors installed near the truck’s container monitor fill level and prevent waste from spilling out. When the system detects that waste is nearing the pre-determined fill level, it sends a signal to activate the hydraulic press and compact the waste.
In addition to monitoring the amount of waste in bins and trucks, our system also records the time and location of each pickup. The data is analyzed and sent through the cloud, directly to the end user’s mobile device. Notifications regarding unusual events and recommended route optimizations are sent to haulers via text message or email.
